Thursday, April 27th, 2006

take one weekend, fill with family and fun. consume straight away.

Wednesday, April 26th, 2006

this weekend just past, my sister, my aunt, my cousin may and i decided we were going to go to canberra and bug my cousin teck (may’s brother).
a few things about teck:

he’s 8 years older than i am. when you’re 8 years old (which i was when we first moved here) this means that he [...]

let’s go, cold weather!

Friday, April 21st, 2006

bring out the boots, the big coats, the super-long scarves you can wrap round your neck twice and still have enough to left to service the neck of the person next to you (although walking may be difficult).

the great escape

Monday, April 17th, 2006

i dragged my rather reluctant sleepy self out of bed on saturday morning to get to the great escape festival out at newington armoury. if it wasn’t for the promise of anna and dec’s company, i dare say i might not have made it out there at all.

or [...]

on romance

Monday, April 10th, 2006

he was sentimental, but rarely outwardly so.
they would sometimes walk with their arms around each other, but he didn’t really like holding hands - it impedes the momentum of walking, he said. when she told me this i laughed, this would not be a stretch coming from someone as science-minded as he.
they had a [...]

let go

Sunday, April 9th, 2006

pandora threw this up the other night; i went looking for it and have since been listening to it on repeat, non-stop.
do you have that habit? of listening to one track again and again, until something of its nature has diffused into everything you do and settles into a gossamer coverlet over your perception?
i listened, [...]

red flyer

Saturday, April 8th, 2006

the tag reads:
Ever Wondered What God looks like? Well this is him and, boy, does he look different. Swipe your arm through the air and you are reconfiguring an unimaginable amount of Red Flyers. In his enlarged state, he offers invincibility and absolute power to his human companion.
i don’t know about invincibility and absolute [...]

how to make the data entry aspect* of my job easier:
when asked about your cultural heritage, refer to yourself as a “disillusioned british australian” or a “whitefella”.
or, when asked about the main reason you came to see the show, fill out the Other line with “because we wanted to do something and this was what [...]
